Photos, Photos and More Photos!
A few weeks ago we asked Andy's cousin take some pictures of Alexis and our family. I really wanted some cute naked baby pictures of Alexis like we have of the twins when they were born. But Alexis was not grooving on that plan. She does like to be naked and lets it be known! Fifteen years from now I will certainly appreciate that quality. On the day of the photo shoot, however, it was very frustrating. Amanda is very talented and still managed to get some great shots despite all of the crying. Here are some of our favorites:

My Wish
Oh how I wish I were an octomom. No, not THAT one. Not THE octomom, but AN octomom with a couple of extra arms and legs. I was contemplating how nice it would be to have a few more appendages with which to get things done today as I was sitting on Makenzie’s bed, rubbing her back with my right hand while holding and rocking Alexis with my left arm and rubbing Brayden’s back—who lately has been insisting on sleeping on the floor between the two beds—with my right foot, trying to get them all to take an afternoon Nap. (I have decided to capitalize the word “Nap” henceforth because as a fellow mother of twins puts it, it is the holiest of all times to mother’s everywhere, especially mothers of multiples.)
This isn’t the first time I have resorted to using my feet to get things done. In the early days, I frequently found myself rubbing one twinfant’s back with my foot while feeding the other. More recently, I have played Crocodile Dentist with Makenzie and Brayden by using my toes so that I could tend to a crying baby.
If only I had a few more hands. Just think of what I could accomplish. I could tuck my dynamic duo and their half-pint side kick into bed while blogging about it AND eating a brownie. Or I could fold the laundry and give myself a pedicure at the same time I was helping my little ones roll out their Play-Doh. Oh how I wish I were an octomom. Wouldn’t that be nice! Until then, I guess I will simply update my resume and move “able to multi-task” to the top in big, bold letters
