The Grass is Always Greener. . .

Why is it that the toy the other kid has is always better? Makenzie's favorite pass time now is pushing her brother off of this rocking toy. She will be perfectly content playing with something else until she sees Brayden on this. Then, faster than lightening, she makes her way over there and forces her way on. Poor Brayden. Look at his face. He's pleading with me to help and instead I am taking pictures.

10 Years!

THEN. . .
. . .AND NOW!

Yesterday, Andy and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! Many things have changed since we got married in 1998. Andy's hair is a little longer. Mine is a lot shorter. And straighter. Back then My Best Friends Wedding was the romantic comedy of the year and Ricky Martin made everyone's heart throb. Now its SATC and JT. The one thing that hasn't changed, however, is our love for each other.

OK. . .enough of the sappy stuff. I have a confession to make: We listened to Ricky Martin yesterday for a bit a nostalgia. And guess what? HE STILL ROCKS!

Our Trip to Texas

We just returned from Texas, where we visited my sister Sonya and her family. The twins LOVED playing with their cousins. (Bray really did have fun despite the look on his face. It's not easy to get 4 kids to hold still and smile all at the same time!)
It was a trip of firsts. Brayden and Makenzie went on their first plane ride. And Andy and I survived (barely)! But that's a whole different story. The twins also went swimming for the first time.

Makenzie was a bit more adventurous than Brayden. She was excited the instant she got in. Brayden cried at first, but finally decided it was OK.

What fun! Thanks, Sonya, for hosting the entire Mildon clan. It was fun to have everyone together. We are counting down the days until Christmas when we can see y'all again.
